"SSAMC, where dreams begin and education never ends!"

Welcome and Thanks for visiting!

The goal of Sowing Seed Academy and Mentoring Center, Inc. (SSAMC) is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children. At SSAMC, we have created "free" unique programs that will cater to teenagers and young adults and help them articulate and follow their values to becoming better students and productive well-adjusted adults.

At SSAMC parents will find an educational, nurturing, mentoring environment for our students grades 6th-12th. We also have a dynamic mentoring program for ages 18-25 that will ensure our young adults succeed in their endeavors as long as they are wiling to put the time and energy into the program. Our after school programs are designed for middle school and high school students. We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles, and personalities so this is why we created age appropriate programs to fit individual needs. Our highly-qualified teachers and staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional, and educational results. Included in our tuition is snack and dinner, transportation from school if needed, and homework assistance.

Our mentoring program is created for all at-risk teenagers (boys and girls) as well as young adults. The mentoring program will not only ignite the teenagers and young adults intellectual growth, but also help them figure out who they are and how they can be of service to their community. SSAMC is here to help our students understand the social responsibilities of their field and the social impact of their choices. At SSAMC, we know that mentoring is an effective way to prevent at-risk youth from becoming involved in delinquency and also to help already delinquent youth change their lives for the better. Many of our young adults have dropped out of high school for various reasons and there are some who have completed high school who have become stagnate, at SSAMC we are here to help guide them and help them discover or rediscover their purpose in life and get them on track to becoming productive adults in society.

Mentoring relationships have been shown to improve youth's and young adults self-esteem, behavior, and academic performance. Within this program we provide teenagers and young adults with on the job training through our partnered companies, resume writing, interview etiquette and techniques and so much more! We want to ensure when our children step out into corporate America or any other endeavor they choose, they are prepared both physically and mentally to face the challenges ahead of them. We also provide field trips to college campuses, military bases, and various businesses throughout the Atlanta Metro area. SSAMC encourages parents who have teen dropouts to enroll their child in our mentoring program. During the mentorship interview process we have teachers and counselors on site to assist you with decisions regarding your child's academic future.

In whatever capacity we may be of assistance to you and your child(ren) at SSAMC, we look forward to serving you in the near future.

After School Program for At-Risk Students

SSAMC has after school programs that align with the student's curriculum at public school. From homework help to group physical activities, our after school program is designed so that the students get what they need academically, socially, and a little more to be successful.

Parenting Classes

SSAMC gravitate to the quote, "It takes a village to raise a child." That is why we are going back to the basics! We will have periodic evening classes that will focus on educating the parents and equipping them with what they need to be ambassadors for their children. These classes will focus on finance, home ownership, coping skills, and much more. Providing our parents with the education, encouragement, and tools they need to become better parents, will better our children and build our communities.

Mentoring

Mentoring will provide crucial support and guidance to young people who may or may not have positive influences and role models in their lives. SSAMC mentors females and males in our program from ages 16-25. We believe that with the proper support and structure the sky is the limit for our children.Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

(Proverbs 22:6)
