After School Program For At-Risk Youth in Middle and High School

  • Serve healthy snacks and meals (15-minute snack time; 30 minute dinner time)
  • Group Homework Assistance 30-45 minutes
  • Enrichment Activities (which can include computer games, sports and fitness activities, or board games).
  • We also go to the schools to mentor students during school hours.
  • Employ teenagers during the summer months

Mentoring / Boys and Girls Ages 12-19 years

  • SSAMC mentors provide sound advice and accurate information on issues ranging from schoolwork and family relationships to peer pressure
  • Positive role models who provide crucial support and guidance
  • Help the mentees build character, discipline, morals, and values
  • Build leadership skills
  • Ongoing curriculum for IT and Business Programs
  • ASVAB, ACT, GED, SAT pointers and preparation, college application assistance, interview techniques, on the job etiquette and training, resume writing, etc.
  • Building positive relationships with loving and trusting adults
  • Provide regular check in on students with parents and school
  • Provide outings for mentees
  • Build leadership skills
  • Job Placement (For young adults ages 18-26)
